Myopia Assessment

The first step in your myopia management journey

At Eyecare Concepts, we provide comprehensive myopia assessments using state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment. Our advanced technology allows us to accurately measure your child’s eye health, monitor eye growth, and assess risk factors for myopia progression. Early detection is essential in managing myopia effectively, especially in children and teenagers. Our thorough assessments go beyond standard vision tests, we evaluate lifestyle, family history, and visual habits to develop a clear picture of your child’s visual development. This enables us to recommend the most suitable treatment strategy from the outset. Our optometrists are experienced in paediatric eye care and passionate about helping children achieve their best vision. With a focus on long-term eye health, our myopia assessments are the critical first step in a proactive approach to vision care.

Monitoring

Industry-leading technology & experience to monitor and properly manage your myopia

Effective myopia management doesn’t end with treatment, it requires ongoing monitoring to ensure the best results. At Eyecare Concepts, we provide continuous, personalised care to track your child’s eye growth and visual development over time. Using advanced imaging tools and precise technology, we monitor changes in prescription and eye structure at each visit. This allows us to fine-tune treatment as needed and intervene early if adjustments are required. Our monitoring process is designed to give you peace of mind and to keep your child’s vision on the right track. We also educate families about lifestyle factors, such as screen time and outdoor activity, which play a key role in controlling myopia. With our dedicated long-term care, you can be confident that your child’s eye health is being closely looked after by a trusted team committed to excellence in myopia management.

How Do We Monitor Treatments?

Axial length measurement provides an objective biomarker of myopia progression. Since axial length is the structural driver of myopia, monitoring changes in axial length allows us to directly assess treatment efficacy.

Example of a patient with excellent myopia control outcomes. Both eyes show axial length stability over time. This indicates that the current treatment protocol is sufficient.
